OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of LEC is to provide high value opportunities for the Lazaridis and Laurier community through events, and academic support.

We strive to host events that provide students with a variety of learning and networking opportunities. We aim to develop students’ interest in economics and applying economic theory to relevant issues.

We provide leadership experience to our executive members by allowing them to have autonomy in their roles while supporting their growth through development opportunities within the club.

LEC provides multiple academic-focused initiatives for the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics students including but not limited to the following: networking opportunities, academic aid sessions, exam preparations, and interactive case competitions.
